It is always such an honour to photograph a precious little newborn. This little man was born at a little over 5 pounds, so he was definitely small! We gave him a lot of breaks to eat, because he was hungry all the timeHis mom loved the little owl hat that Kim made for me (Kim thank you so much!) and I think it looked just perfect on him! My life seems surrounded by little girls: almost all of our friends have baby girls and I also seem to be shooting just girls lately. So photographing this baby boy was a welcome change! Even though he was 13 days old he slept throughout our whole session. Here are just a few of my favourites. Please feel free to leave a comment below.

What an adorable baby girl. What else to expect with a gorgeous mommy and hilarious daddy?! She was my first newborn that gave me a ton of smiles. It was amazing. I seriously cannot believe that she smiled so much. See for yourself

When I first met this little girl she was 15 days old. And although she was a little bit older than what I’d prefer for a newborn session she was a joy to work with. She slept really well for us too!
Every time I am photographing a newborn, I feel so blessed to be working with these precious babies. I really enjoy talking with the moms too and hearing their stories. The mom of this little girl shared her birth story with me and I can’t say how much I love hearing these stories about that incredibly special moment when a little one is born. It is such a miracle!
